Many of you know my business as LCD, but not everyone knows where those three letters came from.

LCD began as Lucy Close Designs. The original dream was to diversify our family farm and create a business that allowed me to work while still being part of farm life.

Life had other plans. Before that dream could begin, I lost my husband in a tragic farm accident. Everything changed overnight.

I moved into town, raised my two children, and built a new future from home. That’s how LCD grew into the business many of you know today.

As I return to work following my recent surgery, it felt like the right time for a fresh chapter.

My new logo reflects everything that’s important to me. The leaves represent my farming roots, the heart represents the care I put into every order, and the needle represents the craftsmanship that sits at the heart of every garment I produce.

I continue to choose ethically sourced products and recycled materials wherever possible because I believe quality and responsibility go hand in hand.
